Stella’s Lounge is named in honor of my late mother, a dynamic and loving spirit who devoted her life in giving to others, Stella’s Lounge is a unique space. Dedicated to presenting live blues and jazz in an environment reminiscent of Greenwich Village in the ‘50s and ‘60s, it evolved out of my internal inspiration. I built and renovated the place almost single-handedly at a frenetic pace, choosing the vintage colors, retro décor, and red lighting in a frenzy of inspired creativity. I had no idea how it was going to turn out, but it is now a spacious, weirdly beautiful room that has inspired wildly positive reactions by virtually all those who have experienced it. I was ecstatic to be able to complete it and hold our pre-opening event on the week of my mother’s birthday.
